These days knowledge is not bound by national borders. For modern universities, strong international engagement in the global exchange of knowledge is significant. The diversity of today’s university stakeholders and the turbulent geopolitical climate require a much more complex understanding of the many facets of internationalisation. The aim of this event is to showcase the best examples of international engagement at various institutions of higher education, as well as to address the broader landscape of higher education in Europe within which internationalisation happens.

This event will gather leading internationalisation experts from various institutions in Europe. The keynote speakers include:

•    Gero Federkeil, Managing Director, U-Multirank, Centre for Higher Education, Germany
•    Rachel Hall, Editor, Higher Education Network, The Guardian, UK
•    Irina Ferencz, Deputy Director, Academic Cooperation Association, Belgium
•    Toby Wilkinson, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for External Relations, University of Lincoln, United Kingdom

During this event participants will have opportunities to present their institutions, network and identify mutual areas for collaboration. Several social and cultural events will also be part of the event programme. In November 2018, Latvia will celebrate its Centenary. We hope that you will join us.
