In celebration of International Play True Day, the 6th True Sport Conference: ‘Together for One Goal’ will take place online on 13 April (free of charge).
The aim of the conference is to educate coaches, sports teachers, athletes' parents and athletes on how to prevent unintentional anti-doping rule violations. Experts and athletes from diverse backgrounds will share their experiences on how to build success in sport, and how athletes and coaches can motivate themselves and enrich their time in the field.
Jānis Kaupe, Sport Doctor for the Olympic Team, will discuss recovery after physical exertion. Artūrs Ivuškāns, Head of the Medical Department and Physiotherapist at the Latvian Football Federation, will explain the actions coaches and parents should take in case of injuries. Sergejs Kruks, Professor at Rīga Stradiņš University, will explore the relationship between television and marketing in sport. Raimonds Rudzāts will examine sport as a reflection of society and share his experience of how it can help address everyday challenges. Olympic athlete Anastasija Grigorjeva will speak on balancing sport and motherhood, while Hockey and Personal Development Coach Jēkabs Rēdlihs will discuss how sport can improve emotional health and self-awareness.

The conference is aimed at sport coaches and teachers, sport support staff, sport enthusiasts, parents of young athletes, and other interested parties. The conference is organised by the Anti-Doping Bureau of Latvia in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, and the Latvian Sports Federations Council.
