DSiA would like to invite RSU students and staff to the guest lecture The microbiome and its effect on us by Prof. Dr Stephan Bischoff, Managing Director of the Institute of Nutritional Medicine at University of Hohenheim, Germany.

Prof. Dr Bischoff received specialist degrees in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Allergology and Nutritional Medicine. He is Editor of the Aktuelle Ernährungsmedizin (Thieme) journal (since 2010). From 2012 till 2014 he was President of the German Society of Clinical Nutrition (DGEM). From 2014 up to now he has been working as the guideline officer of the European Society of Clinical Nutrition (ESPEN).

Prof. Dr Bischoff's major research interests are obesity and related diseases, disease-related malnutrition, adverse reactions to food and mast cell biology, the gastrointestinal barrier and the microbiome.
