On 16 April social anthropologist Paride Bollettin will do a public talk themed 'Who Lives in the Wetlands? Multispecies Collectives and Controversies on Conservation'.
About the talk
In my talk, I shall start with two ethnographic cases from Italy and Brazil, describing how multispecies collectives work in defining conservation policies. In particular, I will be discussing two core topics: controversies on environmental conservation and how conservation policies modify daily life of both human and non-human actors. At the end, I am going to ask the audience members to describe and discuss Latvian cases, such as Lake Pape.
