On 15 December, 15.00 at RSU Dental Institute, the associate professor Bengt Hasséus (University of Gothenburg, Sweden), expert in oral health with rich experience in the treatment of oral mucosa (precancerous lesions, oral cancer, chemotherapy, imagining etc.) will deliver a guest lecture on oral health.

During the lecture, much attention will be devoted to chemotherapy, imagining, transplants, likewise to the treatment of oral mucosal diseases, inflammation and other disorders.
The lecture is specifically designed for oncologists, chemotherapists, general practitioners, transplantologists – everyone facing the challenge of treating some specific therapy induced mucosal injuries.
About the lecturer
Bengt Hasséus (pictured) was born in 1955 in Gothenburg (Sweden) is an associate professor at Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, Institute of Odontology, Department of Oral Medicine and Pathology and the senior advisor at the Gothenburg Clinic of Oral Medicine.
Professor Hasséus treats patients with various oral mucosal diseases also during imagining and chemotherapy, precancerous conditions, oral mucosal malignancy and autoimmune diseases of the head and neck. The professor acts as the advisor on oral health to Sahlgrenska (Gothenburg) University Hospital, Transplant Institute and the Department of Hematology.
The research areas of the professor cover immunology and the functioning of immune systems in maxillofacial area. Professor Hasséus is a member of the European Association of Dental Public Health, its Nordic regional representative (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden) and a member of the Swedish Society for Immunology.
