The 2025 World Kidney Day event will take place at the RSU foyer, Dzirciema Street 16, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It is organized by the students of the RSU Nephrology Student Research group in collaboration with Pauls Stradiņš Clinical University Hospital.
During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to get their blood pressure measured, check their blood glucose levels, and receive a microalbuminuria test along with instructions for performing it at home—all free of charge.
Attendees will also learn about kidney health promotion principles, risk factors for chronic kidney disease, the role of sodium in the diet, and guidelines for limiting sodium intake.
