Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | Before each class students should prepare particular topics in order to be able to discuss the material and ask their questions in seminars and answer theoretical knowledge tests. Students have to present and analyse in a protocol the results obtained in practice, write conclusions, and submit the protocol for evaluation. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria: | Successful participation in class discussions, accepted protocols of laboratory works, successful grades in all colloquiums. At the end of first semester – A semester test, at the end of complete course – an exam. Exam grade is applied only for students who have passed all course colloquia with successful grades. Exam grade is cumulative. The mean colloquium percentage from all successful course colloquia is calculated; 1% is added to it for each colloquium that is done successfully during the scheduled colloquium class. The final percentage is expressed as grade according the 10-point scale described in learning outcomes assessment system in the RSU Academic regulations.
Final Examination (Full-Time): | Exam
Final Examination (Part-Time): | Exam
Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | In the result of successful aquisition of the course students will be able to characterise functions of different organ systems, explain their regulatory mechanisms and evaluate physiological parameters in a healthy human.
Skills: | At the end of the course students will have skills to register basic physiological functions, analyze and evaluate obtained results, give solutions in situations related to human physiology.
Competencies: | Students will be able to apply gained knowledge for evaluation of functional state of a person, solving situations related to nutritional disorders and giving recomendations in nutrition therapy.
