No prior knowledge is required.
Objective:
To find an opportunity for mastering of in-depth knowledge in processing of personal data at workplaces to be able to ensure legitimate and effective management of personnel, paying special attention from the point of view of the rights of persons involved in data processing (controller, officer, processor). Also, the purpose of the study course includes in-depth learning of human resources management issues in the organization, introducing students to the theoretical aspects of the personnel management process and work analysis, developing of practical skills in working with personnel, as well as deepening knowledge about the structure of the labor market and its characteristics.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Performance of seminar works based on prepared cases. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria:
Independent work during classes – 70% (performance of all seminar works is mandatory). Examination (classical multiple choice tests) – 30%.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Knows basic principles of processing of personal data and requirements for legitimate processing of personal data, when performing direct job duties within the scope of own authorisations. Finds one’s way in human resources management theories.
Skills:Able to propose solutions in different practical cases related to the specifics of processing of personal data. Able to create a human resources policy observing the requirements for the processing of personal data.
Competencies:Analyses and practically uses the knowledge obtained in the field of management of personal data and human resources in professional activity. Analyses and presents justified solutions.
