Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Completed course Introduction to the Studies and Speciality.
Objective:
Student media operates as a laboratory where students practice developing of qualitative media materials. During the study course students learn to develop a story from ideas, plan gathering of material, process it, work with text, photography and sound and prepare work until its publishing stage.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
During the course, the student develops one high-quality video story, prepares it for publication in student media and social media. Exact task and evaluation criteria - in the first in the lesson. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria:
Workshop and small assignments during the week (30%), a media publication in the end of the course (70%).

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:In the end of the workshop students know when and why video is the best way to tell the story, and they know if they have what it takes - time, human resources, equipment.
Skills:All the aspects and phases of video making is well known - development of ideas, script writing, drawing the storyboard, filming, editing, postproduction, publishing.
Competencies:Ability to deconstruct and analyze a video story in a proffesional way.
