Objective:
To introduce students to the basics of design thinking, innovation and creativity, to provide skills in using creative thinking methods.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
As part of the course, the student independently reads recommended literature - books, research and professional literature, watches video and audio materials, as well as participates in lectures and seminars.
Assessment Criteria:
Students' knowledge will be tested after seminar work and an exam. The total course evaluation will be made up of the percentage of the evaluation of each test: Each seminar assignment (4 tasks) - 15%; Exam - 40%. In order for each test to be passed, the student must obtain the minimum number of points in each test - 4 points, but the maximum number of points is 10. If the assignments are not passed, they must be repeated.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:As a result of successful completion of the study course, students acquire the following knowledge: 1) Knows the process of design thinking, innovation and creativity. 2) Will know and be able to apply innovation classification methods. 3) Knows how to distinguish innovation myths from truth. 4) Knows various methods of creative thinking. 5) Knows what distinguishes a creative and innovative person. 6) Able to describe the role of the individual and the team in the innovation process. 7) Knowledge of the basic principles of lateral and vertical thinking. 8) Knows and knows how to apply new product development methods. 9) Knows new product development methods 10) Knows methods for evaluating ideas.
Skills:As a result of successful completion of the study course, students will be able to: 1) recognize and analyze the essence of design thinking, innovation, creativity. 2) to classify innovations according to different types of classification. 3) to distinguish innovation myths from truth. 4) to use purple cow theory in practice 5) to compare and analyze examples of vertical and lateral thinking 6) to use different creative thinking methods to generate new ideas. 7) to analyze and evaluate created ideas. 8) to use business canvas and action map to turn ideas into concepts. 9) to apply concepts for business model development.
Competencies:As a result of successful completion of the study course, students will be able to: 1) Independently analyzes design thinking and innovation processes. 2) Able to generate innovative ideas using creative thinking methods. 3) Able to analyze and compare different creative thinking methods to achieve the goal of the design thinking process. 4) Evaluates and determines the role of the individual and the team in the design thinking process and 5) evaluates the possibilities for turning ideas into concepts. 6) Understands the basic principles of idea evaluation. 7) Able to argue and discuss the innovation development process. 8) Develops design thinking competence.
