Objective: | To provide studies in pathology, including morphological and functional manifestations of diseases, their pathogenesis. This aspect of the programme should provide theoretical grounds for the mastering of clinical and speciality-related courses creating a comprehensively educated professional. The pathology programme should include, in an integrated way, the progress of local and general pathological processes by developing a uniform idea of the morphological and functional components of disease pathogenesis in the student.

In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria: | During the study course, the lecturers conduct a knowledge test with the help of a colloquium (multiple-choice test). The final grade is formed cumulatively by calculating the average arithmetic grade from 2 (number) of successfully passed colloquium grades. Retaking of unsuccessfully passed colloquiums takes place in accordance with RSU Study Regulations I. A written or electronic exam in the form of a multiple-choice test is organized only in cases where taking the exam is determined as a requirement for equalization (crediting) of the course.
Final Examination (Full-Time): | Exam (Written)
Final Examination (Part-Time):
Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | As a result of mastering a study course, the student will know and will be able to explain in a reasoned way the nature of individual diseases and general pathological processes; pathogenesis and its manifestations in clinical developments, imaging and laboratory examinations; causes and risk factors; potential complications and sequelae, as well as outcomes, to the extent permitted by the level of the study course.
Skills: | To the extent permitted by the volume of the study course, the student will learn, through clinical tasks, to identify the most common pathologies, reasoned evaluation of the pathogenesis of the diseases referred to in the thematic plan of the course, associate it with clinical manifestations of diseases and diagnostic grounds, and to act practically organising the necessary laboratory examinations, interpreting and critically analysing their results in relation to the total picture of the disease.
Competencies: | Using the obtained knowledge, the student will develop competences in work with information and medical examination data.
