Preliminary Knowledge:
General basic knowledge in medical rehabilitation and understanding of the child's normal and pathological development. English language skills (must be able to read and analyze scientific literature).
Objective:
Promote understanding of the use of evidence-based rehabilitation in paediatrics, evaluation and treatment planning in the context of ICF.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Preparation for regular classes according to the topic; independent work in small groups on the examination of pediatric patients in the context of the ICF; in accordance with the principles of evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning, to ask a research question, search for information, prepare a presentation (20 min.) and a short written summary (A4 page), giving an answer to the research question, according to the indicated or freely chosen description of the situation.
Assessment Criteria:
• active participation in all seminars, demonstrating ability to analyze seminar texts; • presentation of independent group work; • presentation of individual work in written form and oral presentation.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of the concept of evidence-based practice in the practice of a rehabilitation specialist in pediatrics, the application of the ICF concept in patient examination and treatment planning.
Skills:Ability to find, select and analyse literature related to problem (clinical / field / research); ability to interpret level of evidence; ability to integrate evidence in practice, choose evidence-based patients assessment methods to detect effectiveness of rehabilitation and goal achievement.
Competencies:Apply synthesis of experience, knowledge and scientific evidence in rehabilitation specialist practice. Planning of continuity research in pediatric rehabilitation services and interdisciplinar cooperation to support social and medical rehabilitation for children with functional disorders, including transition to the adult life.
