Preliminary Knowledge:
Basic computer skills.
Objective:
To understand the possibilities of using publicly available research databases for their scientific work; to acquire skills to work independently with publicly available research databases in IBM SPSS.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Every class will contain independent work. Outside of classes and lectures, students independently study literature and e-learning materials. Analysis of scientific publications for deepening the understanding of the study course.
Assessment Criteria:
Individually prepared processing and analysis of publicly available data. The examination paper is submitted in written form, as well as the end of the course is carried out in an oral presentation of independent work at auditorium.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Acquired knowledge of the use of publicly available databases in scientific work, acquired or enhanced skills in quantitative research data processing using IBM SPSS; as well gained insight into basic elements of statistical analysis.
Skills:Upon completion of the course students will be able to find, evaluate and use in their scientific work publicly available research databases.
Competencies:Will be able to use publicly available research databases in their research, make research hypotheses and draw statistically valid conclusions.
