Preliminary Knowledge:
Social sciences at the secondary school level
Objective:
Provide an introduction to sociology and the specificity of sociological knowledge; introduce students to sociological thinking: explain basic sociological concepts and methods; facilitate the transition from everyday thinking to sociological analysis; provide insight into social processes and different approaches to studying them.

Summaries of seminar texts, answers to seminar questions, preparation of presentations, tests.
Assessment Criteria:
Attendance (at least 75%) - 20%; participation in seminars - 20%; mid-term test - 20%; final test - 40%.
