Preliminary Knowledge: | Successful completion of the courses included in the study programme prior to each stage of the internship. | ||||||||
Objective: | The purpose of the placement is to apply the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired during the theoretical courses and practical lessons in practical work, developing competences to independently, professionally and socially responsibly ensure the preservation and improvement of the health of people of different ages and increase the quality of life, using appropriate physical exercises. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | Prepares presentations about the internship. Noting the progress of the practice, the pros and cons. In the second and third practice, a specific shortened specialization lesson is prepared and presented. Performs independent work tasks assigned by the head of practice. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Assesses the student's ability to present, telling about the progress of the internship, the place of internship and the experience gained during the internship (20%). Prepared internship reporting documents, video files on conducting internship lessons in practice. In the second and third practice - the student's ability to conduct a specialization lesson for 20 minutes, according to the specifics of the lesson type, the client's age, to use the correct terminology and to use exercise equipment is evaluated. Preparation of a specific task of the situation, which indicates the goal that the client wants to achieve by visiting a fitness club, prepare and present a training program for a month and in the long term. Prepared internship reporting documents, video files on conducting internship lessons in practice (80%). | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | As a result of learning the study course, the student acquires basic knowledge and will be able to: • describe the content of the lessons and the training process, according to the set goal and the client's age; • draw up training programs and lesson plans for people of different ages and abilities; • evaluate the effectiveness and results of lessons; • explain and give instructions and recommendations about various physical exercises; • assess the client's physical fitness level; • use the necessary professional manners when communicating with clients. | ||||||||
Skills: | As a result of the internship, the student will be able to: • use appropriate training methods for clients of different ages and fitness levels; • choose appropriate physical exercises, according to the set goal; • perform various physical fitness assessment tests; • present various types of fitness classes independently, planning classes and compiling programs; • use appropriate skills in communication with clients of all ages. | ||||||||
Competencies: | During the learning process of the study program, students will have developed competences and will be able to: develop recommendations for physical activity and a lesson plan for clients of different ages, depending on the state of health, physical fitness and goals, using the acquired knowledge. Explain and argue to clients about the need and role of physical exercises in modern society. | ||||||||
