Preliminary Knowledge: | Ethics, Behavioral and Communication Culture, Psychology, Record Keeping, Ergonomics of Working Environment, Labor Law. | ||||||||
Objective: | To promote the acquisition of knowledge about the specific aspects of fitness club management, to develop knowledge in various aspects of club management and practice, the basics of fitness club management, taking into account actual law of Latvia. Get acquainted with the principles of fitness club management. Give students knowledge about the organization of a sports club management. | ||||||||

Assessment Criteria: | Final assessment exam. The assessment consists of a cumulative examination. Active participation in the classes 20%; development and presentation of independent work 40%; test 40%. | ||||||||

Knowledge: | On successful completion of the study course, the student will be able to: • describe how to satisfy potential customers; • understand and explain the role of marketing in customer research and attraction; • identify the most important preconditions for good localization; • explain how to create a customer flow and organize work; • justify role of leadership in the team; • explain missions and visions, the role of strategy in club management; • characterize the importance of creating a brand. | ||||||||
Skills: | On successful completion of the study course, the students will apply the business principles in their everyday life, organize the work of the sports club, advertise their professional service, and improve customer satisfaction. | ||||||||
Competencies: | The acquired skills and competences will allow to navigate the commercial principles of sports club management. | ||||||||
