Preliminary Knowledge: | Anatomy, physiology, general age development, basics of pedagogy. | ||||||||
Objective: | Acquire knowledge about the importance of physical activity for the physical and mental health of children and adolescents. To introduce with the children and youth fitness trends. To teach to plan and implement age appropriate activities. | ||||||||

Unaided Work: | Choose one of the seminar topics offered and prepare the presentation in pairs or independently. The student focuses on the chosen topic. Independent work requires the use of various literature, information provided by fitness clubs, experienced coaches, etc. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Active participation in lectures – 25%, test about the study course – 50%, development of training program – 25%. | ||||||||

Skills: | At the end of the course students will be able to: • distinguish between the specifics of training children and young people and those of adults, • choose appropriate training methods and techniques for children and young people, • justify the need for fitness classes in the daily lives of children and young people. | ||||||||
