Unaided Work: | The acquisition of the course lexical minimum, regular submission of assignments through classroom activities, giving presentations, work with dictionaries, extra materials and Internet sources to have a good understanding of the course terminology. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Class attendance, participation and quality of answers provided in practical classes. The assigned tasks are timely submitted and performed in good quality, successfully passed tests after topics acquired (67% of the final assessment). Oral examination in a form of a presentation (33% of the final assessment). | ||||||||

Knowledge: | Having acquired the course content, students will be able to: • describe the functions of the human body parts and organs; • name the principles of a healthy lifestyle; • explain the effect of a healthy lifestyle on the body functioning; • name various pieces of fitness equipment and explain their use; • describe sports injuries and to give advice on their treatment. | ||||||||
Skills: | Having acquired the course content, students will be able to read specialized literature, use appropriate language in communication with clients, define terminology, prepare and give a presentation. | ||||||||
Competencies: | Having acquired the course content, students will be able to use fitness terminology in various communicative situations. | ||||||||
