Preliminary Knowledge: | Introduction to studies, introduction to psychology. | ||||||||
Objective: | To deepen the students' knowledge about the basic issues of pedagogy in the context of social work, to improve the acquired skills in personal growth and professional environment with clients in specific target groups – teenagers, families, etc. To promote students' readiness to engage in solving social problems with correctly selected appropriate pedagogical methods, while being aware of the potential risks for the future society. | ||||||||

Assessment | |||||||||
Unaided Work: | Creative and active involvement in classroom activities, including literary studies and assessment, discussions, case studies, role-plays. Approbation of pedagogical methods, acquisition of new methods and adaptation to the specifics of social worker work. Study course evaluation questionnaire completed and submitted in time. | ||||||||
Assessment Criteria: | Criteria: - correspondence of the content of the program to the specifics of the chosen profession, - structural compliance of the program with the conditions and plan, no spelling, punctuation and formatting errors; - at least 10 different, up-to-date sources of information have been used, including in foreign languages; - the program includes evaluation questionnaire and one of the types of information cards (design, amount of information included, visibility). The assessment in the exam (20%+30%+10%+40%) is made up of the cumulative assessment of the works presented in the study group, submitted on time and with high quality in e-studies. According to I 3.9 of the RSU Study Regulations. point, class attendance is mandatory and is recorded. At the end of each lesson, the student additionally submits a worksheet filled in according to the criteria indicated in the e-environment and, if the criteria are met, receives the grade "passed" | ||||||||

Learning Outcomes | |||||||||
Knowledge: | • characterizes the categories of pedagogy, historical development and perspectives in the context of social work • knows the pedagogical methods and opportunities for working with young people, teenagers, families • assesses the role of the social worker in guiding the pedagogical process in communication with a client. | ||||||||
Skills: | • purposefully selects, critically evaluates, analyses and structures various sources of information and uses them for professional purposes • chooses appropriate pedagogical strategies for solving specific problem situations • leads the pedagogical process and communicates well in a wide range of micro and macro structures of society | ||||||||
Competencies: | • elaborates reasoned analysis of scientific article according to APE model, defends his/her own opinion and critically evaluates the opinion of the authors • develops the interest education or non-formal adult education programme in compliance tailored to the specific needs of the social worker for a specific target audience. | ||||||||
