Preliminary Knowledge:
General psychology.
Objective:
To acquaint students with the specifics of the work of a psychologist in different environments, legislation regulating psychologist's activity, documentation in profesional action, profesioprofessional standard and ethics of psychologist's work.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
1. Prepare tasks for seminar activities (40%). 2. Development, implementation, and presentation of an interview on the psychologist's professional activities (60%).
Assessment Criteria:
Development, implementation, and presentation of an interview on the psychologist's professional activities. 1. Prepare an interview on the profession of a psychologist. 2. The experience of a practising psychologist (in any specialisation) and of three non-psychologists on the professional activities of a psychologist should be obtained through an interview. 3. Analyse the obtained interviews by comparing the answers between the interviewees. 4. Presentation given to the group according to the topics below. 5. Prepare 2 questions about a psychologist's profession for a group discussion. Completed homework for seminars. Topics "The practical role of ethics in the work of a psychologist" and "Social perceptions of the profession of a psychologist”. Questions for discussion – perceptions of the profession of a psychologist, knowledge, responsibility. The following criteria apply to the assessment: 1) assignments submitted in writing and at the specified time and form (70%), 2) the verbal aspect of the presentation (narration, answers to questions) (20%), 3) group discussion (questions and discussion) using pre-prepared questions (10%). A mandatory requirement is the provision of study course evaluation/feedback at the end of the study course on the e-learning platform.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Students describe the activities of a psychologist in various fields of professional activity, are familiar with the basic principles of a psychologist's activity. Students are familiar with the code of ethics of psychologists.
Skills:Students independently use the documentation regulating the activity of a psychologist in order to analyse situations related to the work of a psychologist. Use the code of ethics to analyse ethically sensitive professional situations.
Competencies:Students express their empathic and respectful attitude towards the client/patient and ethical sensitivity in dealing with professional issues and ethical dilemmas.
