RSU students from Gynaecology and Obstetrics Interest Group take part in traditional Women’s Run

The traditional women’s race is an unforgettable summer event that brings together thousands of women of all ages and backgrounds. 

The sixth women’s race was held on 2 June in Lucavsala. RSU students from the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Interest Group took part in the race for the second time now, this year with a much larger team, also involving medical residents from the RSU Faculty of Continuing Education, study programme Residency in Medicine, speciality Obstetrician – Gynaecologist.

To popularise a healthy lifestyle, before the race, students of the interest group had set up a special platform on Facebook – Healthy, feminine and unstoppable – We’re running!  The site contains valuable information on health inspections available to women in Latvia free of charge and other current information on women’s health. 

The largest value of the women’s run is the unique and unforgettable atmosphere of the event and the positive emotions it evokes. Runners from the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Interest Group felt the amazing sense of unity and team spirit and the friendly support and encouragement to complete the race and achieve the set goal.

We hope that next year this tradition will be supported by a higher number of RSU women from other structural units!
