Objective

To educate the student according to the competences provided for in the National Basic Education Standard in section Dance and Rhythmic Combinations. 

Prerequisites

Study courses mastered: Teacher’s Professional Skills, Social-Emotional Learning, Teaching and Learning in the Context of Diversity, General and Physical Activity Biochemistry, Foundations and Methodology of Volleyball, Foundations and Methodology of Gymnastics, History of Sport or Philosophy of Sport.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1. Interactions between rhythmics, music and movement.
2. Nature and guidelines of rhythmic gymnastics/aerobics, the positive aspect of rhythmic gymnastics/aerobics (health and safety content) in the development of personality of pre-school and school-age children/young people.

Skills

3. Knows how to choose appropriate music for rhythmics and dance exercises. To interpret pieces of music using movements, including improvisation.
4. Able to engage and lead movement games accompanied by music, to compile gymnastic sets with and without equipment for rhythmics classes in coordination with selected music material.
5. Able to plan, organise, lead and include combinations of rhythmics and rhythmic gymnastics in classes using different styles of music according to the objective set.

Competence

6. Will be able to analyse and evaluate modelled lessons to find an understanding of how to find feedback in work with pre-school children, pupils and secondary school pupils.

8. Able to define the objectives of an individualised study process, to plan the activities of dance and rhythmic combinations according to the learning outcomes to be achieved.
9. Will carry out study and extracurricular work in the field of physical activity by applying the study content of dance and rhythmic combinations, encouraging the development of pupils’ competences, the transfer of knowledge in different contexts and practical applications.
