New RSU Student Union Council is elected for 2025
The elections for the Council of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP) were held between 21 October and 1 November. All RSU students had the opportunity to stand for election to become a member of the Council as well as to vote for candidates from their faculty.
During the first two weeks of the election period, all students could to stand for election to the Council, followed by a week of voting. This year, 64 students took part in the elections. On 10 November, the closing event of the Council elections was held online, with beautiful performances by Kate Štokmane and Helmuts Ničs.
The opening speech was given by the RSU SP Chairperson who outlined the activities of the Council this year and expressed her gratitude to all outgoing senators, members of the Council and the Board, and administrators.
