Student Interest Groups

At Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), there are many opportunities to develop and prove yourself as a competitive and promising young researcher in one of over 30 student interest groups.

1st – 6th-year medical and health care students can get involved in over 30 different scientific interest groups and show their professional growth at olympiads organised in specific fields. Some of the traditional olympiads are Zelta skalpelis (The Golden Scalpel), where up-and-coming surgeons can demonstrate their skills, Zelta stetoskops (Golden Stethoscope), which is meant for students interested in internal medicine, and Zelta āmuriņš (Golden Hammer), which gathers students with a passion for neuroscience.
