Science Month: Students Will Develop Business Ideas and Discuss the Importance of Technology in Daily Life

Science Month is organised annually by the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union. This year Science Month falls in October and everyone who is interested in science, technology and innovation is welcome to participate.
- 7 October, 17:00 - 20:00 – Science Speed Friending is the opening event of Science Month. This will be a mingling event for local and international students. During the evening students will be able to make new friends, meet like-minded people and find mutual ideas for starting scientific activities in cooperation with experienced RSU researchers. Applications for this event have closed.
- 14 October, 17:00 to 21:00 – Did you know that 3D printers can be used in science? A 3D Masterclass will take place at the RSU main building (16 Dzirciema iela). Students will have an opportunity to familiarise themselves with 3D printing programs, project their ideas, get a 3D model and print it. This event is organised in cooperation with the RSU Institute of Anatomy and Anthropology.

- 23 October 17:00 - 24 October 17:00 – Do you have an idea that you want to realise? A 24-hour Health Tech Hackaton will take place at the RSU main building (16 Dzirciema iela) and on 12 Vīlipa iela. The event is organised in cooperation with the RSU Business Incubator, the RSU Alumni Association and the European Institute of Innovation and Technology's (EIT) Knowledge and Innovation Community. Under the guidance of experienced lecturers and mentors you will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to generate ideas for innovative access to healthcare and to improveme the environment.

- 28 October, 17:00 - 19:00 – The discussion Technology in our Daily Life, Communication and Future will be the closing event of Science Month. The discussion will take place online in cooperation with the Riga Technical University Student Parliament. The discussion will feature experts from various fields who will respond to, and give their views on the role that technology plays in our daily life, in communication and how it will be used in the future. .
