Appeal to Students to Join in Caring for COVID-19 Patients

In order to stabilise the critical situation in hospitals, the Ministry of Health has begun to coordinate the involvement of health care students in the treatment and care of COVID-19 patients.  

Students from the Faculty of Medicine and the International Student Department who wish to work as medical assistants (paid position) are welcome to apply at the Health Inspectorate (Sindija Adama, Head of Registry Department, tel: 67081659, or 67081600, email: vivi[pnkts]gov[pnkts]lv, or sindija[pnkts]adamavi[pnkts]gov[pnkts]lv).

Students from the Faculty of Public Health and Social Welfare, the Faculty of Rehabilitation and the Faculty of Medicine are also welcome to apply as volunteers to help with the treatment and care of COVID-19 patients. To apply, please fill out a form (in Latvian), or send an application to volunteer at the Centre for Disease Prevention and Control or at a hospital to darbsvi[pnkts]gov[pnkts]lv.
