The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Student Association (ISA) is organising the annual MedTalk event. The event will take place over two days, on 15 and 16 September.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has a tradition of celebrating the achievements and performance of its best students, staff members, and structural units who have contributed to research, academic affairs, or to popularising RSU. This is done at the RSU Annual Awards ceremony, which also includes a Lifetime Achievement Award. This year, the nine categories of awards were presented on 9 September at the RSU Academic Ball that took place at the Riga Latvian Society House. The RSU Alumni Association presented a special award.

The traditional Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Sports Day for first year students takes place at the beginning of the Autumn semester. This year, the event took place at the RSU Sports Club on 7 September. As we can learn at the RSU History Museum, this day has a history going back more than 60 years.
On 11 September at 17.00, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Student Association (ISA) is organising their annual Worldwide event in Inspiration Park.
The new academic year at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) has begun with 1,500 freshmen, among them 510 international students – mostly from Germany, Sweden, Finland, and Norway.
In total, the University received individual 8,899 applications this year, which is 11% more than last year and the highest number in RSU's history. The number people who submitted applications reached an all-time high with 3,384 people applying to study at RSU.
The new academic year 2023/2024 at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) began on Monday, 28 August, at 15.00, with an opening ceremony in the forecourt of the University's Main Building at 16 Dzirciema iela.
Students felt both elated and festive at the same time as they met with the university management and teaching staff, enjoyed a cake offered by the RSU Student Union (Studējošo pašpārvalde, SP), received their planners, and watched performances by the RSU folk dance ensemble Ačkups and the mixed choir Rīga.
