On 23 October, WHO/Europe, together with UNICEF and the Government of Kazakhstan, is co-hosting an international conference to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Alma-Ata and the 5th anniversary of the Astana declaration on primary health care.
The conference is aimed at strategic health leadership at the national and subnational levels shaping primary health-care and service delivery transformation.

Mohit Kakar will defend his doctoral dissertation on 19 December at 15.00 in an open meeting of the RSU Clinical Medicine Committee in the Hippocrates Auditorium (16 Dzirciema iela) as well as online. His dissertation is titled 'Clinical, Molecular Biological, and Microbiological Integrated Investigation in the Case of Paediatric Acute Complicated and Uncomplicated Appendicitis'.
On Thursday, 21 September, diplomas were awarded to newly elected professors and associate professors at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU).
