After winning a competition, two researchers who are involved with the (Re)moving Ties project Assoc. Prof. Aija Lulle and Ieva Puzo (PhD), will publish a special edition titled Mobility, Work and Families amongst the Highly Skilled.
Līga Avena will defend her doctoral dissertation on 27 October at 11:00 in an open meeting of the RSU Legal Sciences Committee in the Hippocrates lecture-theatre (16 Dzirciema iela) as well as online. Her dissertation is titled 'Legal Problems of Quality Aspect in Public Procurement Contracts'.
On 12-13 October, more than 50 experts, including from Harvard University and countries and regions such as the USA, Western Europe, Scandinavia, Israel and the Baltics, are meeting at the International Precision Medicine Networking Forum (PMNET) held at the National Library of Latvia in Riga to build collaboration in precision medicine with the biomedical ecosystem.

The annual security and foreign policy forum Riga Conference 2023 will take place at the National Library of Latvia on 20-21 October. The main programme will be preceded by Open Admission Day that includes many side events on 19 October where professionals and the wider public who are interested in security and foreign policy topics are welcome to in-person discussions in the library.
