On 12 October 2023, the traditional White Coat Ceremony for 3rd year students at the Faculty of Dentistry took place in the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Great Hall. This ceremony symbolises the students' transition from pre-clinical work with mannequins to clinical work with patients. The White Coat Ceremony has become a tradition at RSU.

This year, two structural units at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) received the same number of votes from the University’s employees and students voting in the Annual Awards – the Medical Education Technology Centre (METC) and the Anatomy Museum. Both received the award for Structural Unit of the Year.
The aim of the Mentor Programme organised by the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) International Department is to enhance the international student experience at RSU through personal interaction by assisting students throughout their first term of study.
The legality and efficiency of the use of public funds is a particularly topical issue. Although, as we have seen in practice, saving public money is often the most important objective, it should not be the main one. The public budget should be used with the sole aim of pursuing the public interest in the most efficient and qualitative manner.

Dana Kigitoviča will defend her doctoral dissertation on 20 December at 14.00 in an open meeting of the RSU Clinical Medicine Committee in the Hippocrates Auditorium (16 Dzirciema iela) as well as online. Her dissertation is titled "Effects of Meldonium on Right Ventricular Failure in a Preclinical Model and Patients".
