On Saturday 21 October, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) students eagerly gathered for the highly anticipated annual Academic Seminar. This year's seminar was titled "Beyond Books: AI in the Academic Realm." Typically, the RSU Student Union (SP) takes the helm in organising Academic Seminar events.

The scientific evening Sustainable Energy: Challenges and Opportunities will take place at the Rīga Technical University (RTU) Faculty of Architecture and online on 31 October at 17.30. The evening will include a guest lecture, "After the 'Zeitenwende': Secure, Clean and Affordable Energy Supply for Climate Neutrality" by Prof. Dr. Andreas Löschel, and a presentation, "Energy Trilemma in the Public Discourse of Latvia and Germany: Towards a Methodology for a Comparative Index" by Vineta Kleinberga and Judith Kärn.

Autumn is the time of year when the main decision-making body of the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Union (SP), the Council, welcomes new members to its ranks. Every RSU student is invited to apply to be a member of the RSU SP Council. Applications are open from 23 October to 3 November 2023.
Another stage of renovation has just completed in the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Student Hostel in Āgenskalns (17 Mārupes iela). The students now have access to 14 newly renovated and equipped rooms, as well as a spacious room for meetings and other public events.
As part of the Precision Medicine Networking (PMNET) Forum 2023, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) and five other leading Latvian biomedical research organisations have joined forces to create BioMedPharm, an innovative research platform capable of implementing biomedical research projects of any complexity.
Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) graduates earn one-third more than the average income in Latvia. The employment rate of RSU graduates has remained consistently high at 89.8%, which is 27 percentage points above the national average.
This can be seen in the employment monitoring report published by the Ministry of Education and Science this year, which analyses employment data for graduates of higher education programmes in 2021.
On 30–31 August 2023, the Anthropologies of State (AnthroState) network of the European Association of Anthropologists co-organised the conference Future States together with Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) in Latvia.
