On Thursday, 21 September, diplomas were awarded to newly elected professors and associate professors at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU).
- Ingus Skadiņš - elected as associate professor of basic medical sciences, other basic medical sciences sub-field, including pharmacy
- Ieva Ziediņa - elected as associate professor of clinical medicine, nephrology sub-field
- Marta Urbāne - elected as associate professor of law, international law sub-field
- Māris Andžāns - elected as associate professor of political science, international politics sub-field
- Reinis Vilšķērsts - elected as associate professor of basic medical sciences, pharmaceutical pharmacology sub-field
- Inta Liepniece-Karele - elected as associate professor of basic medical sciences, including the pharmacy and pathology sub-fields
- Kaspars Auslands - elected as associate professor of clinical medicine, neurosurgery sub-field
- Jeļena Reste - elected as associate professor of health and sports sciences, other health and sports sciences sub-field
- Jeļena Vrubļevska - elected as associate professor of clinical medicine, psychiatry sub-field
- Oksana Koļesova - elected as associate professor of basic medical sciences, including the sub-field of pharmacy and other basic medical sciences (immunogenetics)
- Dins Šmits - elected as associate professor of health and sports sciences, health care sub-field
- Inga Kudeikina - elected as associate professor of law, civil law sub-field
- Anželika Berķe-Berga - elected as associate professor of economics and business, business management sub-field
- Jana Pavāre - elected as professor of clinical medicine, paediatrics sub-field
- Dace Bandere - elected as professor of basic medical sciences, clinical pharmacy sub-field
- Vilnis Lietuvietis - elected as professor of clinical medicine, urology sub-field
- Ardis Platkājis - elected as professor of clinical medicine, roentgenology and radiology sub-fields
- Gundega Jākobsone - elected as professor of clinical medicine, dentistry sub-field
- Dace Zavadska - elected as professor of clinical medicine, paediatrics sub-field
- Zanda Daneberga - elected as professor of basic medical sciences, including pharmacy, medical genetics sub-field
Over the last 10 years, the total number of professors and associate professors at RSU has increased from 110 in 2010 to 145 in 2023. This year, RSU also has 27 visiting professors and visiting associate professors, which is twice as many as last year and almost seven times as many as two years ago.
