Aim
Prepare competitive scientists and renew academic staff in the following thematic areas: health care and social welfare, social sciences, commercial sciences and law, as well as prepare specialists with the highest qualifications for Latvian universities, government institutions and knowledge-based companies

- Quality support measures for doctoral studies (attending scientific conferences and organization of training seminars)
The target group of the Project are Doctoral students, who are successfully studying in the following doctoral study programmed: Medicine, Pharmacy, Sociology and Law or in full-time or part-time studies in state budget funded or studies for tuition fee and scientific degree candidates, which have successfully completed a RSU doctoral study programmes and within 11 months shall prepare and submit for defence doctoral thesis in Doctoral Council. Target group is selected by competition
Results of the project
- 5 doctoral candidates and scientific degree candidates have received European Social Fund scholarship for studies (V.Sudraba, I.Lībiete, M.Kalējs, V.Ņemenova, A.Vilks)
- 4 doctoral thesis have been submitted in RSU Doctoral Council and 3 have been defended
- Doctoral candidates and scientific degree candidates have taken part in 5 scientific conferences
