The study of sign language, the historical aspect of its formation. To master the basics of the Latvian sign language for practical use.

Not necessary.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
Students acquire the basic knowledge and expertise for the development of sign language, structure.
Skills
Will be able to use sign language at elementary level to work with patients with hearing impairment (non-speaking patients).
Competence
Will be able to practically apply the acquired knowledge and skills of hearing impaired children's speech and language disorders in the assessment, correction work and communication.
