Objective

With theoretical and empirical principles of group counselling and therapy, provide opportunity to develop and improve understanding of the practical skills and competences to work in art therapy

Prerequisites

Personality and development psychology; Neuropsychology; Individual consulting in arts therapies and psychodynamics; Professional development group

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students understand and describe the conditions of planing of group process and principles of creating the therapeutic relationships; knowledge of the types of therapeutic groups; the targets in the different environment. Name the basic tasks of group leader.

Skills

Students establish the purpose of th group In accordance with particular situation and needs of group members; can create aplan of work with the group; define and assess the working methods of the group; define the problemquestion of group work, analyse it, using the practice based on the evidence. Students can assess the difficulties, capabilities and resourses of clients/patients, their influence to group process and dynamic.

Competence

In accordance with the objectives of the group, particular situation and needs of group members, the students can create plan of adaptation, development and/or rehabilitation group
