Learning outcomes
1.Anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive organs. Oogenesis, physiology of the menstrual cycle;
Hormonal regulation of female reproductive organs: hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. Hormonal regulation of the menstrual cycle. Disorders of menstrual cycle - amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, PCOs;
Congenital pathologies of vagina, non-infectious and infectious pathologies of vagina, neoplasms. Pathologies of uterine cervix and uterine;
Pelvic inflammatory disease and endometriosis. Effect on fertility function;
Infertility, its causes, pathogenesis. Diagnostics and differential diagnostics of infertility. Medical and non-medical treatment methods of various causes of infertility;
Female contraception: its various forms (hormonal, intrauterine, etc.), their effect on female reproductive function;
1.Performs vaginal swabbing;
Performs intra-uterine insemination procedures;
Performs oocyte pick-up in procedures of ART;
Performs embryo transfer procedures in medical fertilization procedures;
1.Evaluates hormonal regulation tests of female reproductive organs (gonadotropic hormones, estrogen, progestins, androgens, etc.).
Diagnoses disorders of menstrual cycle, their causes;
Diagnoses PCOs, evaluates indications for medical or surgical treatment;
Diagnoses and treats infectious vaginal diseases. Diagnoses and treats pelvic inflammatory diseases;
Diagnoses or evaluates indications for surgical diagnostics of endometriosis;
Draws up an examination plan of female infertility;
Selects the appropriate treatment of infertility based on it causes. Is able to take the postcoital test.
