Objective

Provide to students the knowledge of health care management, organisation culture, motivation of work, change implementation, develop the leadership skills for nurses and midwives.

Prerequisites

General psychology, the Foundations of social Sciences, Economics and Organization management.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

As a result of course acquisition, students will acquire knowledge of the theories of motivation and leadership in the work of nurses, different aspects of staff management.

Skills

Students will be able to identify basic principles for the operation of the nurse leader, to differentiate between the characteristics of the structure, to analyse staff reactions and to describe the preconditions for effective management of the work of nurses.

Competence

After learning the course, students will be able to assess the motivation of employees, analyse staff management and psychological processes within the organisation, carry out effective management of change, implement the organizational strategy and develop individual personality.
