Objective

1. To acquire knowledge about the diversity of health care products, their structure, storage and sale rules.
2. Understand the role and importance of healthcare products in patient care.

Prerequisites

Prior knowledge of human anatomy, normal physiology, biology, physics and chemistry, pharmaceutical pharmacology is required.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

As a result of studying the study course, the student:
1. You will learn how to systematize healthcare products.
2. Will be able to describe the theoretical principles of operation of certain medical devices, will be able to describe the differences in the use of different devices.

Skills

As a result of studying the study course, the student:
1. Will know how to use the devices defined in the skill list.
2. Will be able to apply and recommend the most suitable health care products for an individual patient - will know how to measure blood pressure correctly, use inhalers, storage rooms, insulin delivery devices, glucometers.
3. Will be able to perform express diagnostics, comment on its results within the scope of competence and provide recommendations for the client's future actions.

Competence

1. Will be able to explain and demonstrate to the patient the use of medical devices (inhalers, insulin delivery devices, glucometers).
2. Will be able to assess the patient's skills in using the device for self-care and provide recommendations for improving use.
3. Will be able to organize and carry out the distribution and monitoring of the use of health care, prevention and health promotion products.
