About Study Course
Objective
Develop communicative skills in English to ensure successful communication during study process and work in the chosen speciality; promote the development of professional terminology and its practical application.
Prerequisites
Knowledge and skills of the English language according to the programme requirements of upper-secondary school (B1 – C1).
Learning outcomes
After having completed the study course successfully, students will:
• recognise professional terms in various texts;
• name the most common medical terms in English;
• describe problems related to patient care using professional terms in English.
After having completed the study course successfully, students will be able to choose and apply appropriate medical terms in written and spoken communication using appropriate means of the language to express their opinion both in written and spoken communication.
After having completed the study course successfully, students will be able to use the terms in various situations with patients of different age groups according to patients' health issues in the clinical environment.
