About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with knowledge of multimodal pain care using integrative, holistic and complementary medical methods.
To master the main directions of pain therapy, mechanisms of pain, diagnostics and care from the point of view of different directions of complementary and integrative medicine.
Prerequisites
In biology, physiology and anatomy, biochemistry, clinical disciplines, pharmacology, psychiatry, psychotherapy.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the main directions and methods of integrative medicine.
Knowledge of the main mechanisms of pain in the context of integrative medicine and complaints of pain patients in cases of musculoskeletal, neuropathic and visceral disorders of various localizations.
Students will be able to navigate and apply the latest trends in multimodal and complementary pain therapy.
Will be able to investigate and assess the complaints of patients with pain using the principles and needs of complementary medicine in various musculoskeletal and visceral diseases.
Develop a multimodal pain management plan.
Recommend the most appropriate type of pain treatment at different stages of care. -Explain to the patient, their relatives and carers the issues of an integrative approach to the causes of pain and its treatment.
The student will be able to participate in the planning of multimodal care for a pain patient in different stages.
In collaboration with other healthcare professionals, it will be possible to prescribe appropriate treatment for an individual patient based on a biopsychosocial approach.
The student will be able to evaluate the short-term and long-term effects and prognostic tasks of pain therapy.
