About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with basic knowledge in record keeping and to develop practical skills.
Tasks:
To acquaint students with the following:
1. the role of record keeping in the administration process;
2. elements of record keeping;
3. administration document system, document groups therein;
4. rules for drawing up and preparing administration documents;
5. organisational work; how organisations work with the prepared and received documents;
6. how documents must be drawn up and prepared for them to have legal force;
7. possibilities of using new information technologies.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites.
Learning outcomes
Ability to show proper comprehensive and specific knowledge related to the field of work of police and understanding of record keeping at the State Police as well as regulatory framework, laws and regulations.
Ability to use general and special terminology, carry out tasks related to record keeping executed by police officers with colleagues and customers within the framework of one's competence and according to literary Latvian language norms.
Ability to describe and analyse practical problems in police work, to select and use information for record keeping.
