About Study Course
Objective
To deepen the understanding of the scientific writing, intellectual property rights, responsibilities of the scientific community, scientific and science communication; to improve the ability to evaluate one’s scientific activity (defined discipline) and to communicate about it both within the scientific community and beyond.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of scientific research activity and research methodology.
Learning outcomes
Describes the responsibilities of the scientific community, describes the essence of academic and scientific writing, types, structure and development process of scientific articles, defines the types of scientific and science communication and dissemination of research results, describes the types of knowledge transfer, intellectual property rights.
Reports on the results of own research for a specific target audience (both nationally and internationally), is able to apply the conditions of effective presentation and demonstrate the ability to navigate the various channels of publishing and distributing scientific results. Explains the process of developing and publishing a scientific article, as well as science communication channels and tools.
Evaluates and improves one’s scientific activity. Communicates and networks about one’s field of scientific activity (one’s discipline) with the scientific community and society at large.
