Objective
To teach the basic concepts of semiotics and the techniques of visual analysis.
Prerequisites
Introduction to communication theories.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge
As a result of the course, students understand the essence of message formation and meaning, know the basic terms of semiotics and the main concepts of visual semiotics (Peirce, Bart, Eco).
Skills
As a result of the course, students are able to interpret visual messages (advertising and photography).
Competence
As a result of the course, students are able to judge the structure of media photography and advertising, as well as the contextualized actualization of meaning.
