Objective

The aim of the study course is to develop an understanding of spirituality in psychology that emerges from contemporary discourse on the given topic. Provide knowledge about the history and development of the concept of spirituality until today. Develop professional competence through spiritual practice.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of psychology.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Upon successful completion of the study course students will have acquired knowledge about:
• the history and stages of development of the concept of spirituality;
• modern view of spirituality in the discipline of psychology, its theory and practical application, taking advantage of giving students the opportunity to get acquainted with various aspects of the spiritual dimension.

Skills

Upon successful completion of the study course, students will be able to:
• Recognise, evaluate and use the spiritual practices learned in the study process.

Competence

Upon completion of the study course, students will be able to independently orient themselves in both theoretical and basic practical issues of spiritual psychology.
