About Study Course
Objective
Acquire theoretical knowledge and skills on the importance and application of exercise in strengthening health, preventing disease, improving performance and quality of life. To apply the acquired knowledge in the community, in a practical setting, to raise awareness of the role of physical activity in promoting health.

Learning outcomes
Students: identify exercises used for health promotion and disease prevention; identify the main functions of health sport and competitive sport; list and classify the types of activities used in health sport; define the terms health, healthy lifestyle, sport, health sport; identify the main factors on which human health depends; justify the importance of physical exercise for health promotion; describe the exercise load, symptoms of fatigue after different levels of exercise, stages of overload, causes and aggravators of overload; formulate the causes and negative effects of obesity on the human body, the importance of physical exercise and the use of physical exercise in the prevention of obesity; outline the use of physical exercise in the prevention of various diseases; explains the role of different exercises in achieving the client's goals; describes the specifics of physical activity for children, adolescents and young people; describes the specifics of physical activity for seniors; explains physical activity for athletes with medical conditions and medical conditions in which sport is prohibited; interprets the basic principles of health-promoting training, their application in health sports activities; names and describes exercises according to their effects and anatomical principles; recognises physical exercises to develop certain physical abilities; demonstrates strength-training exercises to strengthen certain muscle groups; outlines the use of cardio-training programmes to improve performance, prevent obesity.
Students: use aerobic, strength and muscle stretching exercises for health promotion and disease prevention; select and recommend the most appropriate exercises, exercise volume and intensity, different types of activities; design a simple health sports training programme for people of different ages, depending on health status, physical fitness and goals, using the basic principles of health sports training; apply appropriate exercises to strengthen different muscle groups, select exercises to improve aerobic capacity, strength and flexibility; relate the use of strength training exercises to a specific muscle group; use cardio-training programmes to improve aerobic capacity and prevent obesity.
Develop physical activity recommendations and exercise plans for clients of different ages, depending on their health status, fitness level and goals, using the basic principles of health sports training. Educate and persuade clients about the necessity and role of physical exercise in today's society.
