About Study Course
Objective
To master the history of sports in chronological order, to find one’s way and analyse events in the history of sport. To promote the formation and development of students’ cognition processes. To promote an active life approach, in learning and analysis of historical situations and problems.
Learning outcomes
1.1. Objective and subjective conditions for the emergence of sport.
1.2. To critically assess historical events and personalities in sport in different periods of time (pre-history, history, ancient times, new times).
1.3. Able to critically evaluate and substantiate the achievements of Latvian athletes in sports and their impact on the development of sports in Latvia.
4. Achievements of Latvian athletes in sports and their impact on the development of sports in Latvia.
