About Study Course
Objective
To promote mastering of students’ cognitive methods, to learn the principles of “Fair Play” as a basic requirement of sports ethics, to develop experience of creative activity, to promote the development of students’ autonomy in solving research tasks. To provide knowledge and skills to work in a multicultural environment.
Prerequisites
General secondary education.
Learning outcomes
1. Illustrates the concept of “Fair Play” by examples from the chosen athletic discipline.
2. Multiculturalism and multicultural education.
3. Basic principles of the Olympic movement, the achievements of Latvian athletes at the Olympic games.
4. Knows how to prepare tasks for children and young people of different ages on matters of the Olympic movement.
5. Understands the concept of “Fair Play”, can interpret, debate and argue.
