About Study Course
Objective
Educate nutritionists in different therapeutic approaches to work with patients who need to change their lifestyle or who suffer from emotional eating. Distinguish the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy for goal setting. Educate nutritionists in different therapeutic practices and therapeutic tools to help them understand their patients and support them to adhere to nutritional therapies and lifestyle changes. Insight into scientifically proven therapeutic practices: Cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and mindful eating, Minnesota model.
Prerequisites
Prior knowledge in biology, psychology.
Learning outcomes
Students will gain an understanding of cognitive behavioural therapy, its application in case of emotional eating and eating behaviour disorders; an understanding of mindful eating and the Minnesota Model of 12-step treatment.
Students will be able to apply mindful eating in work with patients, will know practical tasks from CBT that help to change habits more successfully and will be able to apply nutrition therapy in the long term.
Understand CBT, mindful eating and other practical therapies that are applied to eating disorders and habit change.
