Electricity
The electrical voltage in Latvia is 220, and the electrical plugs used here are the same as in the rest of continental Europe, meaning a two-wire plug with two round horizontal prongs (sockets should accept 4.0–4.8 mm round contacts on 19 mm centers). Students bringing electrical appliances from countries with different plugs or electrical voltage should buy an adapter.
