Statistics Unit
The Statistics Unit of RSU Faculty of Medicine was created in 2013. Unit ensures the implementation of high-quality standards in the study process and promotes scientific activities of RSU students and academic staff, as well as to provides medical statistical data processing related services to legal persons. Promotion of scientific activity is implemented by offering students consultations on medical research methodology, data input, use of data processing programs (IBM SPSS, STATA, R), data statistical processing methods, analysis, interpretation of results and graphical display.

- Do you have to pay for consultations provided by the Statistics Unit?
No, consultations for RSU students are free of charge.
- Can each student receive only one consultation?
If necessary students may apply for repeated consultations. The number of consultations per student is unlimited.
- How can you register for consultations?
You can register for a consultation via the Student portal or E-learning environment by filling out the application form. Application for consultation will be registered after receiving a confirmation e-mail A new application for a consultation with detailed information of your application.
- How do you receive confirmation of a consultation?
Within two days a confirmation with consultation, date, time, name of the consultant, as well as a suggestion for a different consultation time will be sent to the student’s RSU email.
- What should you do if you do not receive a message within two days or in case if there are other problems in the application process?

- Who can apply for consultations?
Any student of RSU undergraduate studies, Master’s study programmes, residency or doctoral students.
- Where and when do consultations take place?
Consultations take place at 14 Baložu iela, Block II, 1st floor, rooms 207 & 208, on weekdays from 9 to 17 or remotely via Zoom.
